Four Silver Pieces - [Written/Action]

[The other day he had agreed to explore the community buildings one by one. There was no way around it- this place was driving him insane with boredom. Oh, he'd kept up on his training. He spent hours each day in the barracks keeping himself sharp. But the fact of the matter was, it didn't fill en entire day. He was restless and his patrols went nowhere. Maybe it was time to fall back on some old hobbies. He just needed some questions answered first.]

Is there good hunting to be found in the forest? I haven't seen anyone hunting during my patrols through the forest, so I'm unaware if there are any restrictions on the sport.

Furthermore, is there a butcher that I might turn over any of my kills to? [Because he's a king and he isn't going to prepare his own meat, okay.] Others are welcome to join me for when I go to hunt. I'll be procuring a crossbow at the local smithy later. I'd suggest anyone interested do the same.

[True to his word, Arthur heads into the market to find a good crossbow at the smithy. Something strong and sturdy and not a rifle. (Sorry Sharpe.) At the general store he goes to fetch some supplies he might need as well. He's not going on the hunt today, he'll save that for early tomorrow morning, but he wants to be well prepared.

Later he can be found beside building seven tending to his nameless horse (that has a secret name thanks to Rapunzel.) He really should see about getting a stable or something. Ah, the envy of a king with a horse living in a building surrounded by stables that aren't his.]

Three Silver Pieces - [Action/Written]

[Arthur really had no idea what to do with himself. It had been two months now and his various trips had seen every inch around the barrier, save for those that the ocean blocked. The mountains had provided him with a handy way of escaping the village after his humiliation with that experiment. He had already crossed them once, with Cordelia, but he was only now returning again after a long trip crossing them on the northern edge of the barrier only to cross them on the south.

Reluctant as he was to admit it, he really was trapped. There was no way out. Even the excursion out to sea seemed like it would only be a way of confirming what he already suspected. There was nothing that he, even as King of Camelot, could do to escape. Especially when not even magic seemed to make a difference. Upon returning to the village on horseback, he was too weary to prepare his own meal, so his first stop was Seventh Heaven. Some of his clothes had been torn on the trip and with no way of repairing them himself, he made a stop at the clothing shop to find some replacements. Even before being able to return to his own apartment, he had to see to it that he put his horse away and saw to it he was properly fed and stabled for the night. Hard work, all of it. What he wouldn't give for a servant.

Later, in the evening, he writes up a message on the journal.]

It's been two months since I've arrived. If the guide to this place is right, that means more of us will be coming soon. Does it get tiresome, hearing how intent we are on to escape, knowing that we'll soon realize how futile it really is? It seems I may find that out for myself, soon enough.

Two Silver Pieces - [Action/Voice]

[A week ago, Arthur left on his horse to explore the outer edge of the barrier more thoroughly than he had before. He didn't leave with much warning, hoping he would simply find a way out. But it was a week out in the cold and not too comfortable, but he'd dealt with worse while traveling with his knights throughout the Five Kingdoms. Even so, he was quite happy to be able to return to his apartment for a much needed bath. Fortunately he didn't need a servant to have a hot bath warmed up for him. One advantage of Luceti science, it seemed. Though he considered it only a moment's rest. He would need to resume his efforts later.

Today Arthur can be seen in town again for the first time in awhile, leading his horse into the market area. He's collecting supplies again, being a little more thorough than previously. He'd had to raid the New Feather stations more than once the last week, so he wasn't keen on doing that again. As always, he's in his chainmail, but that's covered with an extra long coat on top, concealing it for the most part. He's really not that good with the whole 'staying put' thing. Not while Camelot is in peril. But there's some things he wants to know before he heads out again. So his best bet is the journal, unfortunately. Something he's more or less been ignoring the past week. Well. Here he goes again.]

First of all, I know I'll be told what I'm doing is absolutely useless, so I don't need a reminder of that. What I'd like to know is how thoroughly the barrier around the mountains and ocean have been explored. Say what you will, but I don't believe any fortress is perfect. I intend to explore the outer edges of the mountain soon, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Failing that, I'll require a ship to sail around the edge of the barrier. Would any such vessel be available?

One Silver Piece - [Action / Voice]

[Arthur jolted awake, shivering. His first thought was his sword, immediately reaching for it, only to find snow waiting for him. He soon realized he was half naked in the snow. Not good. It must have been an enchantment. His sister's doing, no doubt. All he had to his name was simple pants and a strange book. After yelling for Merlin for a bit, he gritted his teeth, tightened his jaw, and picked a direction. Fortunately a small abandoned outpost wasn't too far away. Inside he found some spare clothing, some food, and a map.

His first stop was the smithy. He had intended to request a weapon, hoping to find some loyalty to Camelot. But after discovering the recently claimed sword in the stone and no staff present, he simply took the weapon back. Far be it for him to deal with thieves. The shirt of chainmail was most likely his as well. He took that back in short order as well, pulling it back on. This was no doubt a town of thieves and sorcerers. They must have abandoned him in the snow, figuring he would freeze to death. Well, they thought wrong. He would be getting to the bottom of this.

And what better place to find bandits than a tavern? He had no gold on him, but he figured he would rectify that problem once he had found his attackers. So sitting down at the bar, he slapped the bar, and ordered a cold tankard of mead, while carefully surveying the occupants in the bar.]

[Voice] (after his time at the bar)

I am Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot. If there are any other citizens of Camelot still loyal to me, speak up. There are important matters to discuss.

((ooc: so for the record, if you want to action it up, he can be found at Good Spirits or later, in the plaza during his voice message))
